In this section you can find some information on research projects, feasibility studies and requests for services of the bioPmed members.

The bioPmed Innovation Cluster is financed in the framework of "ERDF-POR Piemonte 2007-2013 Activity I.1.2 Poli di innovazione".

bioPmed is focusing on two Technology Trends:

  1. CMDI – CellMolDiagImwet technologies such as molecular and cell biology, innovative diagnostic techniques, agents for imaging, etc.;
  2. TecnInn, hard technologies including new materials, electronics, information science, precision mechanics, microfluidics, nanotechnology etc.

 

Each trend is subdivided into two application areas or Development Lines:

  1. HMNA, fields with highmedicalneed, which include oncology, cardiovascular, autoimmune and inflammatory sectors, and those with a strong need for innovation (eg. orthopaedics);
  2. NdHCA, sectors not directly connected with human health, that is market needs related to products or processes that may indirectly lead to benefits in the health care area (for example, instruments, innovative food products with effects on human health, research kits, etc).

Project focused on health care problems are also developed in other Regional Innovation Clusters.
